Writing lyrics is not easy for me. I have no idea what it is. I think I just have to really look outside the whole box and think differently, get into some other kind of mindset. I swear that every single time I start to write some, it just feels like it's all been done before. Needless to say the other day, I didn't complete a full song for this reason. I did get the music done and I'm happy with how that sounds right now, but the lyrics are basically nonexistent, so that's kind of a bummer. I never actually got a chance to hook up my thing to my computer to record it or anything because I can't figure the damn thing out. I guess I have to wait until I'm home for Christmas break and my cousin comes and hooks it up because he uses the same thing. Times like these, I really miss the Fostex, that fucker was good to me. Oh well, hopefully I'll save up enough money soon to buy my new guitar. Don't know what I'm getting yet, but it's going to be an acoustic-electric, preferably with a single cutaway. We'll see what happens with that though.

Tomorrow I have a test that I'm still studying for because the shit we learned 4 weeks ago is not really ringing any bells for me. But I just decided that when I get home after it, I'm going to finish a song. I have a bunch of little tidbits of shit here and there that I always forget to write down so I remember how they go and a bunch of lyrics, so I'm going to put them together. I don't care if the song sucks complete ass. As long as I write and finish one song, it will give me the motivation to write more and hopefully record them. I'm not sure if anyone ever reads this thing, but now you know that P.J. Coombs is going to be writing music. There is no football game this weekend and I don't have any tests coming up, so I pretty much have 3 days to work on some shit that I have piled around. I wish I could say how I think it's going to turn out or how it is going to sound... I have no fucking idea. I'm just hoping it sounds remotely decent to someone because I have got so much shit that I can write about, just gotta do it now. So hopefully by the next time I write in here, I will have some sort of good news about it. But the good news for now, Phillies won the National League Championship and they are going to the World Series! Good shit.
