All of my past posts have just been videos and me talking about them, so today, I'm going to take some time to talk about a new album I purchased a few weeks ago that has been playing non-stop on my iPod. The album is none other than Panic at the Disco's latest album "Pretty. Odd." It is crazy because this album is insanely good and so much different than their first album. That can be a good thing and a bad thing. On their first album, everything seemed to be a song you could dance too and was really synthesized. Don't get me wrong, I was a big fan of the album, but I like their new one even more. The album really gave me a whole sense of the Beatles. The first song is kind of like a "we're back, don't worry" kind of song and there is a sound of a crowd applauding which just echoed "Sgt. Pepper's" to me. As of now, I don't have a favorite song, but I am between two songs, one of which is "Northern Downpour." It is a slower acoustic song which features backing vocals by the entire band. The other song that I consider a top song is the last of the album called "Mad as Rabbits." This song has co-lead vocals with usual singer Brendon Urie and guitarist Ryan Ross. It sounds a lot like a song from the 70's featuring a tambourine in the intro. It's really a great way to close out the album. Those people who know me are well aware that it is rare for me to listen to a song beginning to end, let alone an entire album. And this is an album that I listen to beginning to end, so it is quite crazy. So if you read this, and were not a fan of Panic's first album, I'd still tell you to give this one a chance. There is no synthesized instruments on the album, anything that is orchestra, it's actual people playing the instruments. So yeah, check it out.
Summer is coming really soon so that is pretty exciting. I'm going to be working, working out, and doing school work every day of the week so the weekends will be much appreciated. I intend on finally working on some music/recording some music when I can as well as purchasing a new guitar sometime over the next few months. And there will be a possible music project of one Patrick Coombs with Gregory Bucelli coming, we'll see. Me and him (well, me and you because I'm sure you're going to read this) were talking about rocking out so maybe something will come out of it. Maybe a little acoustic, a little electric, some dual vocals, definitely going to be a good time when there is time, haha. I've been working on a few songs here and there lately, nothing too crazy, nothing really new either, trying to finish up past shit that I started and got little pieces all over the place. There was an older song I had written called "What She Doesn't Know" that I'd like to do some work on, possibly have me and G lay it down and throw some drums into it, see how it sounds. So right now, I have no idea what summer holds, but I know it is going to be enjoyable and filled with making a lot of money which will be a new thing for me and couldn't have come at a better time because I am so broke and I need to save up a lot of money to have here next year. I have to support the beer fund especially for football weekends.
Anywho, that's probably all that's really good now, this was quite a long post, so I don't want any complaints from Lauren that this was a lame or boring post because that is something she would say! Just kidding, but yeah, that's all I got.

Today's Celebrity Birthday - Kal Penn is 31 today and his movie comes out Friday (Happy Birthday Kumar!)

Until next time...
