I guess that I really am going to try and write in here more often, how fun...yeah. It is starting to get cold out, and I guess that's cool (no pun intended) because I am sick of it always being hot and going outside and sweating my balls off. Anyways, I picked up some new music recently/downloaded some new music. Yesterday I went to Best Buy and snagged Thursday's new CD/DVD "Kill The House Lights." It's basically B-sides and live shit that has been unreleased til now. I haven't even had a chance to watch the DVD yet because I've been busy with schoolwork and shit. And last night, I found out that the new Angels & Airwaves album was leaked onto the internet, so being the DeLonge fan that I am, I downloaded that too. I'm not going to lie, I didn't have too many expectations for it because it seemed like they just put out their debut album not too long ago. In all honesty, and now just saying this as a fan, I really do like it. The new single Everything's Magic is a good song, but I think that it pretty much ripped off the old Blink-182 song Anthem Part 2 off Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. The guitar line sounds like it has the same type of melody, but it's still a pretty good song, probably my least favorite on the album and I'm sure it will be overplayed to the max very soon. I don't have a favorite track just yet, but I know that I'm going to be listening to the album a lot.

So today, you know what I realized really gets on my nerves? People in classes in college that act like they're still in high school. They randomly just call out random shit trying to be funny and it's just not funny. Now those who know me, I have never ever taken school seriously once in my life, that's until I got to college. In high school, I'd be that guy every once in a while that would randomly call out a smartass comment or just be a jerkoff and talk during the entire class. But now that I am paying this amount for college, I go to class to learn, do my work, and make the grades, not to hear some jackass say something that he thinks is funny and interrupt the teacher who just looks at the kid like everyone else. Some people laugh, I don't know if they honestly think it's funny or if it's a sympathy laugh, but one day a girl in my class told him off and that nobody cared, and that's what I found as funny. Anyways, there's my random rant.

Thanksgiving break is coming up soon and I wish I could say I'm going to get some relaxation done, but there's no way I can do that because I am going to be working. At least I'll be making some cash money so I can get that new guitar, I'm pretty hyped about that. If I don't get any recording done before that, the electric will help me get it done a lot easier and I won't really have to worry too much about noise. Ok, I actually have to get work done now.

Today's Celebrity Birthday - Frank Iero, guitarist for My Chemical Romance (one of my heroes) is 26 today, super dooper.

I came across this on MySpace (I stole it from Krista), and I thought it'd be pretty fun to do. It's titled the soundtrack to my life, I'm assuming if my life was a movie, this is the soundtrack that'd be part of it, and since I love me some music, I think I'd really enjoy it...feel free to steal it from me, it's probably pretty fun. I just hope I don't end up putting Blink-182 songs for every answer, I'll try to limit them in here.

1. Opening Credits: "Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today" - Fall Out Boy
2. Waking Up Scene: "I Want To Save You" - Something Corporate
3. Car Driving Scene: "Devil Town" - Bright Eyes

5. Nostalgic Scene: "All I Want" - Toad The Wet Sprocket
6. Bitter, Angry Scene: "You're Cute When You Scream" - Senses Fail

13. Death Scene: "Not Now" - Blink-182

14. Funeral Scene: "Roses For The Dead" - Funeral For A Friend

22. Closing Credits: "Hands Down" - Dashboard Confessional then "Ender" - Finch

I think that's about right, well for now. Now I'm going to have to make that a playlist on my iPod and listen to it all of the time. If you don't know any of these songs, then download them, because I tried to put as many of my favorites in here, or at least my favorite bands, but I think I did a pretty good job with that. So yeah, enjoy it!

Today's Celebrity Birthday - "Weird" Al Yankovic is 48...and I guess the words "never say die" mean something imporant to him. I'm going to try and say this as nicely as possible...RETIRE!

Until next time...

I'm starting to get better with writing in here...I think. So my usual day, I come home and I read away messages and the usual, check Facebook and whatnot, then I get on my way with doing nothing all day except school work, listening to music, and playing the guitar (which is in dire need of new strings). But when I read away messages, a lot of people have something clever to say, or they quote a philosopher, or a great song, something along those lines. And I always think that, I wish I had witty sayings and such, but I don't. So there's not really anything I can do about it, unless I become witty, but I'm not yet, I am a smartass from time to time, does that count as witty? I don't really think it does, but oh well. Usually, I just put up a song lyric that either means a lot to me, or is just from a good song, or is a great lyric, because I really like songs that have good lyrics to them. And speaking of which, I've been working on some of my own songs lately, and I'm pretty happy with them. I don't know when I am finally going to be able to record them because it is too damn loud in this apartment. So lately I've been thinking that I might not come home for Thanksgiving break and instead, stay out here and record some music, relax, and just do my own thing. I'm sure my parents wouldn't want me to stay here but it beats working at Canal's. We'll see how that turns out.

The other day, I watched the movie Reign Over Me with my roommates. I'm going to start off by saying what an amazing movie it was. Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler are both brilliant. I think I liked Adam Sandler's performance more, only because it is quite rare that he does something other then comedy. He was probably the perfect person for the part, and it was really hard to hold back tears. If I was watching alone, odds are that I would bawl my eyes out, but it is simply a great movie. The movie also brought me to think about a certain day in history. That day, obviously being September 11th, 2001. I've been told my people that they remember where they were on big days in history (Pearl Harbor, Kennedy Assassination, etc.). I remember exactly where I was when I first heard about this. I was getting changed for gym class and a friend came in and told me that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center towers. At first, I just thought a small plane with a pilot flying too low lost control or something. My next class was a computer course with the one and only Mrs. Butler (holla Greg). That is when I found out how serious things really were. It was overall just a devastating day. I must say though, it was amazing afterwards to see the patriotism of the country really come out. But yeah, I knew exactly where I was and it was a scary day.

More to come soon, hopefully some recording will get done so I can actually have demos to write lyrics to or whatever. And maybe I can post them on here.

I'm not exactly sure how long it's been since I wrote on here, but I know it was before I came back to school, so I guess it's about time I update. The funny thing is, not much has changed since I last wrote in here, some kick-ass c.d.'s came out but that's about it. My most-anticipated album of the year (Motion City Soundtrack's "Even If It Kills Me") was finally released, and not short of my expectations. It is an absolutely incredible album and in my mind, it is their best to date. That's not easily done considering "Commit This To Memory" was also an amazing album. Now they're on a current U.S. Tour which I won't be able to see and that absolutely sucks ass. Another tour that is going around is New Found Glory and Senses Fail on tour together, but I also won't be able to make it to that one, although they are playing at the House Of Blues in Atlantic City on October 27th, but I'll be out here watching my school try to beat Rutgers. We lost the other night to South Florida and that sucked ass too, but shit happens. I'm still happy because the Phillies are in the play-offs again, first time since the 1993 team with Kruk, Dykstra, Dalton, and of course, Mitch Williams. At the beginning of the season Jimmy Rollins said the Phils were the team to beat and during the majority of the season everyone busted his balls for saying that, but they finally proved it winning 13 of their last 17 games of the season.
If anyone actually reads this, you may wonder what has been up with me. Well, I recently turned 22 and that's different I guess, but nothing has changed at all. My life has been exactly the same and still boring as hell. The new Dashboard Confessional c.d. comes out tomorrow but I can't really afford it, because I am going home this weekend for a wedding, it should be okay, I'm going to get drunk and make a fool out of myself, that's almost a guarentee. I've been writing a few new songs recently and working on some old ones too. I intend on bringing my recording stuff back to school with me when I go home, so I hope that works out for the best. I just want to record the music so I can listen to it on my iPod and try to write some lyrics because writing lyrics while playing the song is a little tough, I just need some rough copies to have something to listen to. Hmmm, I think that might be all I got right now, but that was kind of a fun post, some good shit in there...I guess.
